All Change!!!

Our Provincial Grand Master Roger Pemberton has led us with distinction since his appointment shortly before the COVID pandemic. Roger has announced his retirement which will be effective at the end of Tuesday, 19th August this year. On Wednesday, 20th August there will be a special meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Shropshire at Harper Adams’ University College, commencing at 1030h, when Deputy-in-Charge Jeremy Lund will open the Provincial Grand Lodge.

During the Ceremony which follows, a deputation of senior Officers from Grand Lodge will install W Bro David Purslow of Salopian Lodge, 262 as our new Provincial Grand Master. Most Officers of PGL will remain in place, but David will appoint his new Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Nick Garavini of Longmynd Lodge, 4877.

It goes without saying (so I shall say it anyway) that we owe a debt of gratitude to the outgoing team, and offer our best wishes to the incoming. In particular, we thank Roger and Monica for all that they have done in ‘setting the tone’ for the last seven enjoyable and successful years.
